Plate Magnets
Hump Magnet
OVERVIEW
Product Overview
Materials enter the tubular hump‑type magnetic plate area under gravity. Inside, two high‑performance NdFeB permanent magnetic plates—one above and one below—generate a high‑gradient strong magnetic field (with a surface magnetic field strength of 10,000–15,000 gauss). As the material passes through this magnetic zone, its flow direction is forcibly redirected, creating turbulent and tumbling motion. Under the influence of gravity and density differences, ferromagnetic contaminants come into more thorough contact with the magnetic plates. Iron filings, rust, and other impurities are instantly magnetized and firmly adsorbed onto both sides of the plates, while the purified material continues to fall freely into the downstream process. The accumulated iron impurities must be removed periodically; the equipment features a quick‑open design (with snap locks or hinged casings) that allows rapid access to the chamber for manual scraping or wiping of the magnetic plates.

Features and Advantages
- Dual‑plate hump structure: A staggered dual‑plate arrangement creates a forced turbulent flow path, significantly extending the contact time between the material and the magnetic field, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of ferrous contaminant removal.
- Zero‑energy operation, energy‑efficient and environmentally friendly: Utilizes a purely permanent magnet configuration, requiring no electrical power, resulting in zero operating energy consumption, no noise, and no heat generation.
- Anti‑clogging design for improved flowability: The hump structure redirects the material’s flow, preventing straight‑line rapid slippage and effectively reducing the risk of bridging and accumulation.
- Compact design, flexible installation: Can be directly installed in series on vertical or inclined pipelines, occupying minimal space without disrupting the existing conveying system.
- Fully sealed stainless steel construction: Manufactured from 304/316L stainless steel, offering corrosion and wear resistance, suitable for long‑term use in powder handling and industrial environments.
- Convenient maintenance: Equipped with a quick‑open cabinet design that facilitates the removal and cleaning of the magnetic plates, ensuring high maintenance efficiency and minimal downtime.
