Magnetic Drum Separators
Drum-in-Housing Magnetic Separator
OVERVIEW
Product Overview
When the material enters the magnetic separation zone, it is conveyed into the drum magnetic separator’s magnetic field (e.g., the magnetic separator drum). Ferromagnetic contaminants such as iron powder, iron ore, iron slag, and steel slag are adsorbed by the magnetic field and firmly adhere to the drum’s surface, while non-magnetic materials (such as quartz sand, river sand, and feldspar) are naturally discharged under the action of gravity and centrifugal force and continue along the conveyor. As the drum rotates into the non-magnetic region, the adsorbed ferrous impurities are automatically discharged, thereby achieving a continuous separation process.

Features and Advantages
- High-Efficiency Magnetic Separation: Equipped with an NdFeB strong-magnet system, it delivers efficient separation and fine ferrous contaminant removal, suitable for both weakly and strongly magnetic materials.
- Wide Applicability: It can handle a variety of materials, including ores, powders, granules, and industrial waste.
- Robust Design: Engineered for long-term continuous operation in industrial magnetic separation lines.
Optional Configurations
- Adjustable Magnetic Field Strength: 1,500–3,000 gauss (for rough separation and low-iron-content applications); 3,000–6,000 gauss (for standard industrial sorting);
- 6,000–8,000 gauss (for high-precision separation and fine-powder materials).
- Optional Structural Configurations: Single-drum, dual-drum, or multi-drum magnetic separators.
- Optional Drive Options: Direct motor drive or geared-motor drive.
- Stainless-steel housing with optional transparent observation windows for monitoring iron discharge; multiple access ports facilitate adjustment of the material-diversion plate angles.
Applications
- Mining Industry: Used in ore-processing lines and raw ore‑purification stages to achieve magnetic separation and enhance mineral grade.
- Non-Metallic Mining Industry: Employed in crushing, classification, and deep-processing operations to remove ferrous impurities and improve purity.
- Industrial Waste Recycling: Applied in metal separation and recovery processes to enable resource reuse and material purification.
- Sand, Gravel, and Building Materials Industry: Utilized in aggregate production and finished-product handling to enhance aggregate quality and product stability.
- Powders and Fine Materials: Used in the production and processing of high-purity powders to achieve fine iron removal and purification.
- Food and Light Industries: Applied during raw-material conveyance and processing to eliminate ferromagnetic contaminants, ensuring material safety and production cleanliness.
