Self-Cleaning Rotary Magnetic Separator

The automatic rotary magnetic separator, also known as the fully automatic rotary type magnetic separator, is an intelligent powder magnetic separation device that integrates rotating dispersion, high-intensity ferrous contaminant removal, and automatic cleaning. It is specifically designed for applications involving materials with poor flowability, a tendency to bridge, easy agglomeration, and stringent ferrous contaminant‑removal requirements. The equipment combines high‑performance NdFeB permanent magnetic rods with a PLC‑controlled automatic system; a reduction motor drives the internal magnetic rods to rotate at low speed, continuously breaking up the material while efficiently adsorbing ferromagnetic contaminants, and automatically completing the iron‑discharge and reset cycles to enable continuous, unattended operation. Compared with conventional static magnetic separators, the automatic rotary magnetic separator not only effectively addresses issues such as powder blockage, material sticking, and bridging but also significantly enhances the efficiency of material–magnetic field contact and improves the capture of fine ferrous particles. It is widely used in high‑standard ferrous contaminant‑removal lines across industries including new energy lithium‑ion batteries, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, and minerals.

OVERVIEW

Product Overview

        After the material enters the equipment, it passes through the internal rotating magnetic rod assembly under the force of gravity. Driven by a reduction motor, the magnetic rod group rotates continuously at a low speed. On one hand, the high-intensity magnetic field adsorbs ferrous contaminants such as iron filings, iron powder, and rust; on the other hand, the rotational motion breaks up agglomerated material structures, preventing bridging and blockage, thereby enhancing material flowability and improving the efficiency of ferrous contaminant removal. The adsorbed iron impurities adhere to the surface of the magnetic rods. The PLC control system automatically initiates the cleaning cycle at preset intervals, using either pneumatic separation or an automatic scraper mechanism to discharge the collected iron. Subsequently, the magnetic rods reset automatically and resume normal ferrous contaminant removal, ensuring continuous and stable operation.
