Magnetic Drums
High-Intensity Magnetic Drum
OVERVIEW
Product Overview
When material moves along a conveyor belt or roller into the magnetic separation zone, it enters the magnetic field of the high-intensity magnetic drum. Ferromagnetic contaminants such as iron powder, iron filings, and iron ore are attracted by the magnetic force and firmly adhere to the magnetized surface of the drum, while non-magnetic materials are discharged naturally under the action of gravity and centrifugal force and continue to be conveyed. As the drum rotates into a low-magnetism or demagnetized region, the adsorbed ferrous impurities are automatically released or removed, thereby achieving a continuous separation process. This technology is widely used in magnetic iron removal systems for iron powder.

Features and Advantages
- Localized High-Magnetism Design: A semi-magnetic structure (with localized high-magnetism zones) ensures precise separation and efficient ferrous contaminant removal.
- High Separation Efficiency: Suitable for the removal of fine ferrous impurities from ores, powders, and granular materials.
- High Magnetic Performance: Can be upgraded to configurations featuring strong magnetic drums, ultra-strong magnetic drums, or high-intensity magnetic drums.
- Wear Resistance and Durability: Designed for mining environments and industrial conveying systems, offering long service life and high operational stability.
Optional Configurations
- Customizable Designs: The equipment can be tailored in terms of structure and configuration to suit various ferrous contaminant removal scenarios, meeting the separation needs of powders, granules, and minerals.
- Adjustable Magnetic Field Strength: 1,500–3,000 gauss (for rough separation and low-iron-content applications); 3,000–6,000 gauss (for standard industrial separation); 6,000–8,000 gauss (for high-precision removal of ferrous impurities from fine powders).
- Optional Temperature Ratings: Available for ambient temperatures, as well as for 85°C, 100°C, 120°C, 150°C, and 350°C applications.
Applications
- Mining Industry: Used in crushing, screening, and conveying processes to separate and purify minerals such as iron ore and limonite.
- Non-Metallic Mining Industry: Employed in post-crushing grading and conveying operations to remove ferrous impurities during feeding, magnetic separation, and before final packaging.
- Building Materials Industry: Applied in material handling and storage operations to eliminate ferrous contaminants at the front end of production lines and during mixing processes.
- Chemical Industry: Used for chemical powder materials to perform magnetic separation and remove ferrous impurities prior to pneumatic conveying, blending, and reaction stages.
- Food Industry: Utilized in pipeline transportation and pre-packaging processing of food materials to remove ferromagnetic contaminants in feeding systems and mixing sections.
- Feed Industry: Applied to feed raw materials during grinding, batching, and conveying to remove ferrous impurities, preventing metallic contaminants from entering production and livestock farming.
- New Energy Industry: Used for high-purity powders such as lithium-ion battery cathode and anode materials to perform fine ferrous contaminant removal during vacuum conveying, mixing, and coating processes.
Materials Processed
- Mining Materials: Separation of minerals including iron ore, magnetite, manganese ore, and ilmenite.
- Industrial Powders: Magnetic separation of iron powder, recovery of iron powder, and separation of metal powders.
- Granular and Mixed Materials: Iron-bearing materials such as slag, sand, gravel, and metallurgical waste.
- Building Materials and Recycled Resources: Separation of cement raw materials, construction waste, and recycled resources.
